In addition to its primary mission of promoting, beautifying and maintaining The Bridge, The Parks Foundation has endeavored to assist other organizations in Chattanooga devoted to historic preservation and promoting and maintaining parks and public spaces. The Foundation in 2011 pledged $1,000 in support of the Bluff Furnace Project adjacent to The Bridge and has more recently begun working to help the Northside/Riverfront Community Association establish itself.
